

One of the Finnish most interesting emerging young artists Linda Suolahti is currently based in Helsinki, Finland and enjoys a versatile career as guest leader, artistic director and chamber musician, being regularly invited to play in some of the world’s leading music festivals and concert halls.
From 2016 Linda has been artistic director of a chamber music festival “Musequal” - a new music festival highlighting especially unknown and forgotten female composers and composers representing minorities.
In 2020 she was enjoying an artistic working grant kindly admitted by The Finnish Cultural Foundation and for the year 2021 she received one year artist grant by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland. In 2022 Linda will start working as a permanent member of Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and record her debut album for leading Finnish record company Alba Records.
In 2020 she was awarded by her home town Janakkala as a young talent.
Linda is honoured to play an instrument "Ex Sulo Aro" kindly loaned by The Finnish Cultural Foundation.
Linda (b.1989) has acquired experience as a concertmaster and a leader at the same time always particularly specializing on her true love - chamber music.
From 2017 to 2020 Linda hold a position in Lapland Chamber Orchestra as a 2nd concertmaster with leading duties. During season 2018-2019 she was substituting in 1st concertmaster chair.
Linda has also gained leading experience in Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra (Canada), Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, Harbin Symphony Orchestra (China), Finnish National Opera Orchestra and Lohja City Orchestra orchestras among others.
Linda has performed as a soloist under Ari Angervo’s, Tomas Djupsjöbacka’s, John Storgård’s, Eero Lehtimäki’s and Reinhard Goebel’s baton with different ensembles. She has also appeared as a soloist leading herself the orchestra at the same time.
As being an enthusiastic chamber musician, Linda has performed in various music festivals and other smaller occasions in Finland and abroad together with the greatest artists such as Alena Baeva, Vadym Kholodenko, Guy Braunstein, Jennifer Stumm, John Storgårds, Malin Broman, Roland Pöntinen, Sergey Malov, Patrick Gallois, Olli Mustonen, Priya Mitchell, Pekka Kuusisto and Zoran Markovic in chamber music festivals like ClasClas (Spain), Our Festival (Finland), Kuhmo Chamber Music (Finland), Festival des Rencontres Musicales de Figeac (France), Summer Lunchtime Concerts (Music Centre, Finland), Naantali Music Festival (Finland) among many others.
Linda is a guest player in world leading chamber orchestras such as as Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.
2019 Linda graduated with distinction from Sibelius Academy where she has been studying with Minna Pensola (Meta4) and Jaakko Ilves. In 2015 she studied in Master of Performance program at the Royal College of Music in London where she was honoured to study as an Emma Rose Memorial Scholar under the tuition of Professor Jan Repko.
She has participated in many master courses in Finland and abroad with such violinists as Radu Blidar, Johannes Meissl, Benjamin Schmid, Gerhard Schulz and Réka Szilvay.
